Editorial policy

Our standards

TaxKit aims to publish practical explanations that distinguish a planning estimate from a legal or tax conclusion. We make assumptions and important exclusions visible, use plain language, and link users toward appropriate verification. We do not publish fabricated professional credentials, client testimonials, or performance claims.

Tax, finance, and business content can affect consequential decisions. We prioritize clarity, caution, and source quality over certainty or sensational headlines. When an answer depends on a person's facts or jurisdiction, we say so and direct readers to official guidance or a qualified adviser.

Research and review

Editors should consult current primary sources where available, including government agencies and relevant official documentation. Secondary sources can provide context but should not substitute for rules that are available from the responsible authority. Every page should identify when it was last reviewed and should be revisited when an important law, rate, or product assumption changes.

TaxKit does not claim that every tool or article has been reviewed by a certified public accountant, attorney, or other licensed professional. Reviewer identities and qualifications are only stated when they have been verified and the reviewer has agreed to be identified.

Corrections and independence

Readers can report a possible error through the contact page. We review specific claims against reliable sources, correct material errors, and update the displayed review date. Significant corrections should be explained clearly rather than silently changing a conclusion that readers may have relied on.

Advertising, if enabled, is kept separate from editorial decisions. Advertisers do not buy a favorable review, ranking, or calculator result. Sponsored or affiliate content must be clearly disclosed if introduced in the future.

AI and original work

TaxKit publishes original explanations written for independent businesses. Research or drafting tools may support the editorial process, but they do not replace fact checking, editing, and accountability by the site operator. We do not present generated text as an expert opinion or verified legal advice.
