Privacy policy
Information you provide
The TaxKit calculators run in your browser. We do not operate an account system, and calculator values are not intentionally sent to a TaxKit application server. The expense tracker saves rows in browser storage on your device. Invoice PDFs are generated in your browser. Anyone with access to your device or browser profile may be able to access information stored there, so avoid entering confidential client or financial details.
You can contact TaxKit at shebuilds.dev@gmail.com. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include. Do not send sensitive identifiers or financial records by ordinary email.
Cookies, browser storage, and advertising
The cookie-preference notice stores your choice in browser storage. The expense tracker also uses browser storage to retain entries on the same browser and device. Clearing site data, changing browsers, or using private browsing may remove this information.
If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve, measure, and personalize ads. Google describes its ad-cookie practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can review personalization controls at https://myadcenter.google.com/ and opt out of personalized advertising using Google's controls at https://adssettings.google.com/. Non-personalized or contextual ads may still involve storage or processing required for delivery, security, and measurement.
Google is a third-party vendor. It and other vendors may process technical information such as browser type, approximate location, and ad interactions under their own privacy terms. TaxKit does not control third-party practices. Advertising is disabled by default, and optional advertising scripts are withheld until you allow advertising in the site's basic preference control.
TaxKit's preference notice is not a certified consent management platform. Where applicable law or Google requirements call for a certified platform, the basic notice alone may not be sufficient.
How we use information
Information sent by email may be used to reply to your request or review a correction. Technical logs may be processed by the hosting provider for security and reliability. TaxKit does not currently configure an analytics provider.
We do not sell calculator entries. We do not use browser-stored expense or invoice details to create a TaxKit profile. If the services used by TaxKit change, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
Your choices and rights
You can decline optional advertising in the site notice, use Cookie settings to change your choice later, clear browser storage through your browser, and avoid using the tools. Where the GDPR applies, rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, subject to legal conditions. Where California law applies, rights may include knowing, accessing, correcting, or deleting certain personal information and opting out of sale or sharing when applicable.
Contact TaxKit at shebuilds.dev@gmail.com to make a request.
This policy describes the current site behavior and is not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
Children and policy changes
TaxKit is designed for adults managing a business and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.
We may revise this notice when the site or applicable services change. Review the current policy before relying on it, because third-party services and legal requirements can change.
Cookie and storage summary
| Storage | Purpose | Control |
|---|---|---|
| TaxKit preference (browser storage) | Remembers your choice about optional ads | Cookie settings or browser storage controls |
| Expense data (browser storage) | Keeps entries in this browser | Remove entries in the tool or clear site data |
| Google advertising cookies (only if enabled) | Ad serving, measurement, and personalization by Google and partners | Google ad controls |
European privacy rights
Where GDPR or ePrivacy rules apply, optional advertising should be controlled by an appropriate consent management platform before advertising technologies run. You may withdraw or change a choice through Cookie settings. The included preference control is not a certified CMP, so the operator must configure a compliant provider before enabling ads in regions that require one.
California privacy rights
California residents may have rights under applicable privacy law, including rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sale or sharing. TaxKit does not sell calculator entries. Contact TaxKit at shebuilds.dev@gmail.com to ask a question or make a request related to your personal information.
